Virtuosos

In 2013 Mariann Peller envisioned the idea of the world’s first classical music talent show on television.
After an in- depth market research and analysis of other programs, in which she had asked for the assistance of excellent professionals, she had created the format of the Virtuosos program series.
Several national television channels had shown interest in the realization of the format but Mariann Peller believed that a classical music talent show is best positioned in public broadcasting.
She had convinced renown professional musicians and a music historian to become the judges for the show.
Throughout the years, the most important names of classical music have turned up in the judge panel of Virtuosos, just to name a few: Erika Miklósa and Plácido Domingo opera singers , HAUSER cellist, Eugene Kohn conductor, Lang Lang pianist, Maxim Vengerov and András Keller violinists, Pablo Sáinz-Villegas classical guitarist, Harvey Goldsmith concert promoter, Steven Mercurio composer and conductor, Guy Pratt entertainer, bass guitarist of legendary band Pink Floyd, Dimash Qudaibergen singer.
Launched in 2014, Virtuosos is a classical musical talent show that has revolutionized the Hungarian TV market, within weeks becoming one of the highest rated TV shows on public television, ahead of commercial channels.
The format of the Virtuosos is unique, focusing on the discovery of classic young talents, providing them with unique development and performing opportunities.
As a natural progression, the Virtuosos V4+ international talent show and educational program was implemented in 2020. Its objective is both classical music and musical development of young talents within the Central and Eastern European region, including Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Ukraine.
